Bangor CC Quiz

Time to assemble your teams together for the world famous Bangor CC Quiz which returns on Friday 23rd February starting from 7.30pm at Upritchard Park. £5 per head fee and we’ll be running a ballot on the night so we request if there are any unwanted Xmas presents or gifts still in the house then bring them along! To register yourself and/or teams respond to the event on Spond and if not on Spond contact a member on the Committee.

New Kit

Together with Teamwear Ireland we’ve been able to source new stock of playing kit for the upcoming season. It is the exact same overall kit design and colours as the current kit but with a small change to the manufacturer logo and top of the shoulders, using Teamwear Irelands in-house design with the Adidas range of kit being discontinued. There are two new additional items available to purchase as well, a new 1/4 zip training top and a sleeveless playing jumper.

A few kit try on sessions will be held this week at Upritchard Park on Thursday 22nd (7pm-8.15pm) & Sunday 25th February (2.30pm-3.15pm) with the order being sent away to Teamwear Ireland at the end of the month. The Women’s 1XI team will move away from the light blue kit and from this season will wear the full sponsored Club Kit.

Fantasy Club Cricket Returns

Season 2 of the popular Fantasy Club Cricket is back bigger & better than last year and details on how to join will be communicated out around early April.

Robbie Arrives In April

ICYMI our overseas’s player for the upcoming 2024 season is experienced All Rounder Robbie van Harte from Cape Town, South Africa. He is currently playing in the WPCA Premier League and also a teammate of Kuda’s at Milnerton CC. We look forward to welcoming Robbie to Bangor sometime in early April when he arrives before the start of the season.

Lights, Camera, Action

We’re delighted to announce that we plan to live-stream games this season at Upritchard Park using NV Play’s live streaming platform, we’ll have more to share on that closer to the season. So if you can’t make it to the ground on the day then you can sit back and enjoy the action from wherever you are!

Season Start Date

No fixtures have been released as yet but we envisage the season to begin in late April, fixtures for Senior teams will be communicated out as and when they are released on our Social Media pages & website.

20th Anniversary Game

This year marks the 20th anniversary of that golden year when Bangor swept all before them and picked up multiple pieces of silverware across the club including the 1XI winning the Section One league (the current Premier League). Plans are in place to mark the occasion this year with the current Men’s 1XI playing against a team comprising of the 1XI squad from 2004 at Upritchard Park, details to follow in the coming months for what should be a fun day!

Membership Cards

The club are introducing membership cards across all sections of the club from this season, this follows on from the investment last year into refurbishing the bar area. All current paid up members will be allocated out a membership card, this includes club youth and mini members whose parents will be able to use the cards in the clubhouse to benefit from discounted prices. More information on the cards are available here.
