Happy New Year to all our members. The new season is fast approaching and below are a number of events and dates to put in the diary before the action on the field starts. Further detail, where appropriate, will follow closer to the time.
New Playing Kit
With coloured clothing mandated by the NCU across all senior and junior teams we are looking to put a bulk order in for the end of January. There will be two fittings and ordering sessions to be held with kit samples available to try on with the below date and times at Upritchard Park.
- Thursday 26th January 7.30pm – 8.30pm
- Sunday 29th January 2.30pm – 4.00pm
Winter Nets
Senior nets will be beginning shortly and for the first time being held at Bangor Academy with their newly installed Cricket Nets, a big thank you to Matt Pitts and the school for allowing us the opportunity to use them. Starting on Tuesday 21st February and running for 6 weeks every Tuesday evening until the final session on the 28th March, all senior members and those thinking of joining the club are more than welcome to attend. Details on exact timings will be communicated in due course.
Club Awards & Dinner Night
The awards dinner in full will be making a welcome return for the first time since 2019 as we come together as a club and celebrate the achievements of the award winners on the night. The awards and dinner night will be held on Friday 24th February at Upritchard Park and we ask members to arrive for 7pm, more information on arrangements will be communicated in due course.
Club Quiz
As is tradition the Bangor Cricket Club Quiz will be held in the run up to the new season although held at the slightly later date of Friday 24th March with a start time of 7pm, details of the night will be communicated out at a later date.
