Bangor CC September 17, 2023 4 minutes read
club-news-image

A brilliant evening on Friday as we gathered as a club for the final time for the season and celebrated the successes across the club over the course of the season. A massive thank you on the night to the bar staff & caterers for great service & food. It’s been another brilliant season at the club with silverware brought home from both Senior & Junior sections. Around 100 players were used across the 6 senior teams, over 220 kids in the Junior section and the introduction of our Women’s First Eleven for this season.

Ward Park made its return this season hosting many matches & training sessions for the Seniors & Juniors, Upritchard Park thanks to the hard work of Stephen Burns and the grounds team goes from strength to strength hosting three cup finals and international cricket with the Ireland U15s against Scotland. Thanks to the captains and selectors throughout the season who were busier than ever getting the teams out on a weekly basis and the 40 or so coaches who came on a Monday & Tuesday as our Junior section continues to grow. A final thanks to Chairman Peter McIlwaine for continuously driving the club forward and the members on the Committee who put in countless hours behind the scenes to keep the club going and moving forward.
