Bangor Cricket Club are delighted to announce that overseas player Brodie Harrison will return to Upritchard Park for the 2027 season, following an outstanding first spell with the club in 2026.
The New Zealander made a significant impact both on and off the field during his time in Bangor, playing a key role in the Men’s 1XI’s successful campaign and helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League.
Brodie enjoyed a superb season with the bat and ball, finishing with 1,008 runs at an average of 63 with five half-centuries and one century, 34 wickets at an average of 22.67, and 13 catches. His all-round contributions proved invaluable throughout the campaign, while his consistency and commitment made him a popular figure among teammates and supporters alike. The undoubted highlight from his season at Bangor was an incredible innings of 172* off 152 balls at Pollock Park against Lurgan, with Bangor claiming a thrilling victory by just 2 Runs.

Beyond his performances on the pitch, Brodie quickly became an important part of the wider club. He regularly gave up his time to help coach the next generation of Bangor cricketers in the youth section and was always willing to lend a hand with ground duties when needed. His enthusiasm and willingness to get involved in all aspects of club life made him a fantastic addition to our club.
Looking ahead to his return, Brodie is eager to build on the success of last season and help Bangor make their mark in the Premier League.
“I’m very happy to be back at Bangor for the 2027 season. I’m excited to get stuck in again and hopefully contribute to more team success as we build on what we achieved last year. The club is full of great people and has fantastic facilities, and the thought of batting alongside Mark Hutchinson again made the decision to return an easy one!”

Everyone at Bangor Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Brodie back next season. His performances, character and contribution around the club made him a huge asset in 2026, and we look forward to seeing him back in blue and yellow as the club prepares for the challenges of the Premier League.
