Bangor are excited to announce two signings joining the Men’s 1XI side, our new overseas player Brodie Harrison and the return to Bangor for Seb Yeates ahead of the new season.

Firstly we’re delighted to announce the signing of 23 year old Brodie Harrison as our overseas player for the upcoming 2026 season.

Brodie plays his cricket for East Coast Bays CC in Auckland, New Zealand and is an all-rounder that bats in the top order and bowls leg spin. Last season Brodie put in some great performances with two centuries and high score of 156. The new season in Auckland is still in it’s infancy and Brodie has put in a number of notable match winning contributions already with 78 off 64 in a 2 day game, recently taking 4-35 as East Coast Bays won their opening 50 over game by just 4 runs and 4-14 in a T20 win last week.

On joining the club, Brodie said “Stoked to be joining Bangor CC in 2026, I’ve heard great things about the people and the place! Can’t wait to meet everyone and get stuck in!”

Director of Cricket Ian Butler added “We’re delighted to welcome Brodie to Bangor Cricket Club and Upritchard Park. All the feedback from the Auckland coaching staff was effusive in their praise — not just for his outstanding work ethic and character, but also for the explosive impact he brings as a top-order batter, a superb fielder, and his high-quality leg spin. Adding such a multi-dimensional cricketer is a huge boost for us, and Brodie’s energy will lift the squad enormously as we look forward to playing an exciting brand of cricket this summer.”

Finally, we’re thrilled to welcome back Seb Yeates to Bangor CC & to Upritchard Park.

The Yeates name is synonymous with Bangor CC and Seb did indeed begin his Cricketing journey here with us as a very promising youngster. We unfortunately lost Seb to CSNI where he continued his development to be the player is he today but with the Club back on the up, we’re delighted to welcome Seb back to Bangor.

He’ll be rejoining us as a skillful cricketer who still very much has his best years ahead of him. He has gone on to play plenty of times in the Premier League for CSNI in the last few seasons, playing against some of the best talent locally. As well as that, Seb has gone on to make representative honours for the NCU and Irish U15 & U17 sides. This year he made his debut for the Irish U19 side on a tour to Zimbabwe and was also part of the NCU Development squad as they toured Chennai, India as they looked to build and add new skills to their games. During the season he also represented the Emerging Knights side in Inter-provincial games across the island.

Speaking on the move Seb said “I’m very happy and excited to be coming back to Bangor. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead and hopefully playing my part in a successful season as we aim for promotion to the Premier League.”

Chairman Peter McIlwaine shared his excitement at welcoming Seb back by saying “Seb rejoins us at an exciting time as we continue to develop on and off the field. He is a great addition to our 1st XI and I’m sure there will be plenty of runs for him at Upritchard Park. Welcome home, Seb, we’re absolutely delighted to have you back with us.”

All at the club will be hugely excited to welcome Brodie & Seb to Bangor CC in 2026 with excitement starting to build ahead of the new season.
